    86 head were presented to Judge Dale Bienert on February 7, 2008 at Chilliwack Heritage Park during the Annual BC Holstein Spring Show held in conjunction with John Deere Days.  Judge Bienert selected Haanton Champion Chenille, the 4 Year Old exhibited by Stanhope-Wedgwood and T&L Cattle as his Grand Champion.  She was followed by Brookvilla Jasper Aka as Reserve.  The Junior Champions were awarded to Springbend Goldwyn Access, and Wedgwood Penelope Dundee.  Complete results are available to download.

    Congratulations to the Goertzens of Blossomdairy and the Epps of Cheam Holsteins on their recently announced Master Breeder Awards! Both of these families will receive their Master Breeder Shield, the highest honour bestowed by Holstein Canada, at the annual convention in London, Ontario, March 26-30, 2008.

     April 1-5, 2009 will be a busy week for BC Holstein enthusiasts, when the province hosts the Holstein Canada AGM and National Convention.  Featuring a show, sale, farm tours, and multiple banquets, it is sure to be an exciting time for the BC Holstein fraternity!  Contact John Blair if you would like to volunteer.

    At the 2007 BC Holstein Branch AGM, Joe Taylor was recognized with an Honourary Membership Award for his lifetime of dedicated service to the BC Holstein Branch.  Congratulations Joe!

    Under the revised constitution, the BC Holstein Branch will have 9 directors.  Nomination forms have been sent to all BC Holstein Canada members.  Please return your nomination forms by July 4.  Ballots will be mailed in mid July and need to be returned by October 18.
